Bonnie B. Zonkle, 41, of Ellettsville passed away at Methodist Hospital on Wednesday, February 28, 2018.
The daughter of George Thomas and Peggy (Taylor) Zonkle, she was born in Bloomington on January 17, 1977. She graduated from Edgewood High School with honors in 1995, going on to graduate from the Indiana University Kelly School of Business in 1999 with a double major in accounting and finance. Bonnie worked at Charles Schwab in Fishers, IN and Great Seats in Indianapolis. She returned to Bloomington where she worked at Cardon and Associates, Inc. Bonnie was an avid pet lover who made frequent donations to the ASPCA and the Owen County Humane Society No Kill Shelter. Traveling to see the world was one of her favorite things. She loved all sports, especially, Indiana University, the Cubs, and the Pacers. Bonnie was a huge fan of Barr-Reeve High School Basketball team. She loved watching Law and Order, Big Brother and every day at 3:00 she and George could be found watching episodes of The Rifleman and Gunsmoke.
Bonnie is survived by her brother, Samuel James Zonkle; fiancé, George H. Smith; aunt, Donna Rick; cousins, Janette Bishop Coneff, Debbie Bishop, James Richard Bishop and Holly Bishop Ciccone and best friend of 25 years, Jawna Banks.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Visitation with the family will be held at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place after the services at Cresthaven Memory Gardens in Bedford.
