Clarence "C.Jay" Stoll of Bloomington passed away at IU Health Bloomington Hospice House on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was 75 years old.
Born on March 23, 1944 in Daviess County he was the son of the late Clarence and Lucille (Reed) Stoll. He graduated from Montgomery High School in 1962 and from Vincennes University in 1964. After graduating he married Sharon (Waggoner) Stoll and entered the United States Army where he served from 1966 to 1968 being honorably discharged as a member of the US First Calvary as a Staff Sargent. Once he returned from service he went to work at Westinghouse, Control Data, and retired from Otis Elevator. He was a member of the American Legion Burton Woolery Post #18. C.Jay enjoyed fishing, woodworking and visiting with his friends and family.
C.Jay is survived by his wife, Sharon Stoll; children, Gregory Stoll of Ellettsville and Kristina (Keith) Freeman of Bloomington; grandchildren, Kristen (Tyler) Dugan and Lindsey Stoll all of Bloomington; sister, Marsha (Jim) Stoll of Montgomery, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Mark Villanova officiating. Entombment is to follow at Chambersville Cemetery with military honors provided by the Monroe County Honor Guard. Visitation will be held at Chandler Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
