Frank Louis Boruff, 87, of Ellettsville passed away early Saturday morning September 7, 2019 after a short stay at the IU Health-Bloomington Hospice House.
He was born August 7, 1932 in Owen County to William Henry and Gertrude (Greenwood) Boruff. Frank married the love of his life Bonnie Jean in 1958, and recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. He raised two wonderful children, Hope, who will always be "Daddy's Girl" and John that he forever shared his love of cars with. Frank celebrated life with each of his six amazing grandchildren and was often found playing on the floor or cooking for any one of his ten great-grandchildren. Frank was a Veteran of the United States Army where he worked as a mechanic. His love and passion for working on vehicles led him to Rogers Group where he was the shop foreman and retired after 38 years.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie of Ellettsville; children, Hope (Mike) Richardson and John (Marlena) Boruff all of Ellettsville; six grandchildren, Jonathon (Kim) Boruff of Ellettsville, Jason Rogers of Blooomington, Jessica (Danny Bowling) Gonzalez of Brazil, Adam (Rayna Young) Boruff of Bloomington, Ryan (Courtney Harris) Voigtman of Sullivan, and Kristin (Dustin) Jones of Washington; ten great-grandchildren, Jonathon Boruff, Jr., Aaron Miller, Julian Miller, Logan Boruff, Adriana Primo, Jordan Gonzalez, Ember Smith, Waylan Young, Marshall Voigtman and Olivia Voigtman; brother, David Earl Hamm of Ellettsville; several nieces and nephews all of which he convinced they were his favorite and two very special four legged companions, Daisy and his girl, Millie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene Boruff, and nephew, Rick Mobley.
Visitation will be at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 11:00 until 1:00. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Villanova and Mike Richardson officiating. Burial is to follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens with Military Honors provided by the Monroe County Honor Guard.
