James “Jimmy” M. Cowden, 74, of Bloomington passed away at IU Health Bloomington Hospice House on Thursday, October 25, 2018.
He was born on September 5, 1944 in Trafalgar, Indiana to the late Byron Cowden and Anna Mae (Langley) Cowden. Jimmy was a retired local truck driver. He loved spending time joking with friends at Kenny’s Tavern and spending time with family and his animals at home.
Survivors include daughters, Julie Shields (Joe) of Solsberry and Angela Branam (Bob) of Bloomington; sons, J.D. Cowden (Amy) of Bloomington and Wesley Cowden of FL; brother, Jack Cowden of Bloomington; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was preceded in death by not only his parents, wife Sharron (Foutch) Cowden, brother, Rodney Cowden, and sisters, JoAn Smith and Martha Gentry.
