Jimmy Lee Curry of Ellettsville, formerly of Prestonburg, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from a heart attack after a battle of heart problems. He was 74 years old.
Jimmy was was born on April 2, 1945 in Prestonburg but lived his entire life in Ellettsville, Indiana. Jimmy was the owner of Westing Drywall for many years before he retired because of a work related injury. Jimmy loved his family, his Jack Russell who passed away, "Killer", listening to Conway Twitty, watching black and white comedy shows, Andy Griffith, and old western movies, He especially loved his morning coffee and conversations with his grandson everyday after work.
He is survived by his sons Joey Curry and Jamie Curry; daughters, Laurie Curry, Julie Curry and Marshetta Curry; and sister, Carleen Curry-Yates. He is also survived by his grandson, Dimitri Robinson.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his sister Annie.
Visitation for Jimmy will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Bruce Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Knightridge Cemetery.
