Mary Elizabeth (Prather) Dunlap, 79, of Bloomington passed away peacefully on May 30, 2018.
Born in Stinesville, Mary grew up on a farm with her father and mother, James and Martha (Mills) Prather and siblings, Edward and Alice. All have preceded her in death. At age 22, Mary married James Dunlap and they eventually settled in Bloomington raising their only son. She was a member of the Woodhaven Christian Church for over 40 years where she loved being in the center of church activities. Mary enjoyed gardening and tending to flowers, crafting, and reading. Feeding and watching birds was one of her most cherished activities with Cardinals being her favorite bird.
Mary is survived by her son, Daniel Dunlap and wife, Melody; grandchildren, Zachary, Michele and husband, Jared; and Jessica; and great-grandchildren, Daniel, Peyton, and Jackson.
Mary’s family would like to thank the staff at Bell Trace Health and Living Center for the loving and tender care given to her during her stay. A special thank you is also extended to her church family at Woodhaven Christian Church for their support and caring.
