M. Catherine (Dunn) Hottell Davis, 94 of Ellettsville passed away at IU Health Bloomington Hospice House on Thursday, November 14, 2019.
She was born in Paoli, Indiana on February 27, 1925 into the home of William and Mary (Newlin) Dunn. Catherine retired from Cook Inc. and after her retirement she went on to Edgewood High School working in the cafeteria. While her first husband Irvin served as the Chief of the Ellettsville Fire Department Catherine was very active on the Women's Fire Auxiliary. She enjoyed wood crafts, sewing and collecting cook books.. She worshiped as a member of the Ellettsville Christian Church.
Catherine is survived by her Daughter, Connie Jeanne (Neil) Riggs of Stamping Ground, KY; Sons, Larry Paul (Sharon) Hottell of Bloomington, Steve Alan Hottell of Bloomington, and Billy Joe (Kelly) Hottell of Bedford; Sisters, Evelyn Marie (Joe) Brosmer and Geneva Ruth (Freeman) Stone; Brothers, James Lyle (Barbara) Dunn and Fredrick Lowell (Mary Ruth) Dunn; 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Mary Dunn; Father, William Dunn; First Husband, Irvin Lee Hottell; Second Husband, James Davis; and Brothers, William Lawrence Dunn, Charles Lewis Dunn, , David Luther Dunn, Earl Wallace Dunn, and Marion Thomas Dunn.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ellettsville Christian Church. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service.
