Pauline S. (Burlingame) Stone

May 28, 1926 ~ March 17, 2018 (age 91)

Pauline S. Stone of Ellettsville passed away at Bloomington Hospice House on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the age of 91.

Pauline, the daughter of the late Clair and Edna (Buchanan) Burlingame, was born on May 28, 1926 in Speedway, Indiana.  She graduated from Speedway High School with the class of 1944 where she was awarded for her typing skills. Pauline was married to John H. Stone and they celebrated their 67th year together.  She was a farmer’s wife and a homemaker all her life.  She loved music, playing the piano, playing cards and going out to eat with family and friends. Always proud of her grandchildren, she especially enjoyed attending their performances in the Music Warehouse Christmas program at Edgewood High School.

Pauline’s family would like to give special thanks to Kelli Uland from the Area 10 Agency for all her love and support for the last seven years.  Also, thanks to Marsha Chambers, the most gentle and loving caregiver in Mom’s last two years.

Pauline is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Linda Carlson (Larry), Deborah K. Cooper, Mary Yerk (Dennis), Rita Dupes (Kevin), and Karen Brooks (Randy); grandchildren, Mike and Matt Carlson, Daniel Sipkema, Christy Bailey (Robert), Brandon, Evan and John Rollings, Morgan Trafelet (Jeff), and Sara and Noah Brooks; and great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Sipkema and Cassie Sipkema, Alex and Abby Brier, and Sophia Brooks .

Visitation will be at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville on Thursday, March 22 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with funeral services at 6:00 p.m.  Burial will be held on Friday at Memory Gardens in Rensselaer, Indiana at 11:30 a.m. CST.  Share condolences, memories and more with Pauline’s family at www.chandlerfh.com
