Raymond Clark Brown of Bloomington left us on Thursday, December 6, 2018 with his loving family surrounding him. He was 69 years old.
Raymond was born on September 26, 1949 in Bloomington to the late Frank R. Hill and Mary Francis (Hampton) Hill. He attended Bloomington High School and went on to Indiana University through Upward Bound. Raymond proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Julie, his wife, and Raymond began their journey together in 1986 and were married on December 2, 1991. Raymond loved and raised her children and grandchildren as his own.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Julie Brown of Bloomington; sisters, Bonnie Fitzpatrick and Helen Polk; brothers, Joseph Brown, Richard C. Brown, David Brown and Paul Brown; children, Tracy, Christopher, Elijah, Jason, Michelle, and Desmond; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Raymond also leaves behind the ones who gave him the greatest joy; his puppies Tazzimae, Sophia, Darcy Jo and four new born puppies.
He was preceded in death by not only his parents but siblings, Leola Deal, Vicky Brown, Charles Brown, and Cleo McGrudder.
Raymond had a surge for life and great love for music, he will be missed!
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Second Baptist Church at 221 N. Rogers Street (the corner of Eighth Street and Rogers Street) in Bloomington from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville is assisting with Raymond’s arrangements.
