Phillip M. Vibbart, 68, of Spencer passed away at his residence on Thursday, September 13, 2018.
He was born in Monroe County on July 22, 1950 to Floyd Vibbart and Ruie Ann (Shaw) Vibbart. Phillip was a 1969 graduate of Bloomington High School South. He retired from General Motors Truck and Bus in Indianapolis. Phillip loved motorcycles, horses, camping, fishing, four wheelers, traveling but the utmost thing he loved was family life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rodger; sisters, Connie, Barbara Lou, and Doris Jean; one niece, and his grandparents.
Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Robin (Krossman) Vibbart; children, Jodie Glasscock (Ron), Michelle Henderson-Vibbart (Mark Trail), and Phillip Michael Vibbart, Jr. (Joni); grandchildren, Trenton Henderson, Brooklyn Henderson, Emily Trail, Adam Vibbart, Matthew Vibbart, Katie Grigsby (Josh Smith), and Kelcie Grigsby (Austin Garrett); two great-grandchildren, Kingsly Garrett and Legend Garrett; sisters, Mary Jeanson and Janet Chambers (Michael) and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Chandler Funeral Home on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. Cremation is to follow.
The family requests contributions be made to the Owen County 4-H Club in Phillip’s memory.
