Terry R. May

May 18, 1951 ~ February 23, 2018 (age 66)

Terry R. May, 66, of Bloomington passed away at home with loving family all around him on Friday, February 23, 2018.

Terry was born in Bedford, Indiana on May 18, 1951.  He was a 1969 graduate of Bloomington High School and was married to Barbara (Tatlock) May. Terry worked for the City of Bloomington as a Master Mechanic for over 22 years and prior to his service with the city, he worked for American Ag in Indianapolis and Spencer also as a Master Mechanic and truck driver.  In his off hours he volunteered with the Indian Creek Fire Department.  Terry loved to fish and hunt and he loved to worship the Lord with his church family at the South Union Christian Church.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be remembered fondly for the kindness and joy he spread.

He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Gleason May.

Terry is survived by his wife, Barbara May; son, Jeffrey May of Cunot, IN; daughter, Katrina Richardson (Russel) of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Tyler Moore of Bloomington, Riley May of Martinsville, Michelle Smith of Ellettsville, Kristie Rodrique of Lake Elsinore, CA, Kathryn Applebee of Danbury, CT, Jamie Snyder of Ruffs Dale, PA, and Nicole Dillard of Ft. Worth, TX; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at South Union Christian Church, 6510 S. Rockport Road, Bloomington, on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Cremation services entrusted to Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville.
