William Ross Andrew, 89 of Spencer, Indiana, passed away at IU Health- Bloomington Hospital to join his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 following a brief illness.
Born in French Lick, Indiana, Ross attended school, regularly attended church at United Brethren Sulfur Creek and met his wife Marjorie of 67 years while attending a revival. He served his country in the Army, fought in the Korean War, and was honorably discharged as a corporal. Ross retired from AT&T after 35 years of service, was President of the CWA Local, and owned several property rentals around Bloomington. Active in his church, Ross attended Lifeway Baptist Church in Ellettsville.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Marjorie of Spencer, Indiana; son, Tony Andrew of Poland, IN.; daughters, Anna (Gary) Peterman of Atlanta, GA. and Shari (Brett) Cooter of Spencer, Indiana and his grandson, Justin Cooter.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Lifeway Baptist Church, 7821 State Road 46, Ellettsville, IN 47429 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Von Bokern officiating. Burial will be at Sulfur Creek Cemetery 5353 W. Co. Rd 200 S. in French Lick at 2:30 p.m. Visitation is on Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.
